LIC Smart Pension review
LIC Smart Pension is LIC's proprietary immediate annuity plan with 10+ annuity options — a superset of Saral Pension's two options. Entry ages 30–85 (wider than Saral's 40–80), the same ₹12,000/year minimum annuity, and a richer menu including joint life for lineal descendants and siblings (not just spouse), a partial-withdrawal liquidity option, and an Annuity Accumulation option to defer the first payment and earn interest in the interim. The annuity rate is comparable to Saral for the standard single-life and joint-life options; the Smart plan earns its keep for buyers who need the extended option set or who are outside Saral's 40–80 age band.
